NLP A To Z

well-formed_outcome - When an outcome is stated in the positive, is of manageable scope, and can be initiated and maintained by the subject, it is considered well-formed. Until the subject has stated a well-formed outcome, the programmer has relatively few therapeutic options.

Why - This word has special significance. When you ask 'why,' you usually get 'story' which forces the subject to a conscious level to make excuses, explain, etc. So, 'why' is often avoided or other phrases are substituted when doing NLP work. In ordinary communication with friends and family, it is a word to be aware of for the same reason - that it may put your subject in a defensive posture, which can be counter-productive.
